The North West Consent Summit is bringing diverse communities together to reshape the meaning and practice of consent.
We will examine consent at the intersections of age, class, disability, gender, race, and sex. We will explore different definitions of consent, strategies to build cultures of consent, methods of teaching consent, and ideas for responding to and reconciling after consent incidents.
We strive to contribute new ideas, evolution, and growth to the national dialogue regarding consent, and we seek solidarity, not conformity, in how we understand and engage in consent.
Who do we hope will attend the summit and contribute to the reshaping of the meaning and practice of consent?
Activists, Recovery Communities, Alternative Sexuality Communities, Communities of Different Generations (all adults), Disability Communities, Survivors, Communities of People of Color, Ethnic and Cultural Communities, Sexual and Gender Minorities, Medical and Mental Health Professionals, Lawyers, Members of the Media, Military Personnel, Event Producers, Sex Workers, Academia and Campus Life.
